With Mondial Assistance and Hotelplan Italia you can choose between two insurance packages providing full protection before and during your vacation.
High Protection Insurance
“Trip cancellation” insurance
Covers cancellation due to:
• Illness, injury or death of traveller or relatives not travelling (the coverage includes unforeseeable recurrence of pre-existing medical conditions)
• New hiring or dismissal
• Material damage to your home due to breaking and entering or natural disaster
• Theft or loss of documents necessary to go abroad.
Travel Insurance and Assistance
“Risk on the way” insurance
If the vehicle you are travelling in to reach your place of departure has an accident or breaks down, MONDIAL ASSISTANCE sends a taxi cab for the passengers and transfers the damaged vehicle to an authorised workshop.
“Relatives at home” insurance
If the need arises, MONDIAL ASSISTANCE supplies round-the-clock medical assistance and craftsmen services to your relatives (parents and children) at home.
Round-the-clock healthcare assistance
24 hour, seven days call centre support for any medical emergency need.
Medical expenses insurance
Up to € 10,500 per person; cover requires a prior call to the Mondial Assistance 24/7 centre.
• Refund or direct payment of medical expenses and/or the costs incurred to buy medicines.
• Direct payment of hospital and surgery related expenses; this cover requires a prior call to the Mondial Assistance 24/7 centre.
Cover for a journey cut short due to circumstances listed in your policy document.
Luggage insurance
Cover for up to € 1,000 per person for theft, fire, robbery, bag snatching, loss, or for damage ascribable to the carrier.
Up to € 200 cover for purchasing essential items if delivery of your luggage by the carrier is delayed for more than 12 hours (on your outward journey).
Legal assistance on your journey
MONDIAL ASSISTANCE finds a lawyer to assist you (pays the costs incurred up to € 2,500) and loans bail money up to € 15,000.

The cost of your policy varies as a function of the price of the journey per person, as follows:
up to € 1,000 - € 26    up to € 2,000 - € 46

more than € 4,800 - € 80 + 3.5 % of excess

Besides the warranties included in the High Protection Insurance package, with a High Protection Insurance PLUS policy you get
“Trip cancellation” insurance
Covers cancellation due to:
• Any unexpected event that can be documented, is beyond the control of the person(s) concerned, and directly affects you, a relative, the co-owner of your company/firm, or a cat or a dog belonging to you (proof of ownership must be shown).
Travel Insurance and Assistance
Cover for medical expenses up to € 50,500 per person (€ 90,500 per person on journeys to the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean), as follows:
• Direct payment of hospital and surgery related expenses; this cover requires a prior call to the Mondial Assistance 24/7 centre. Said amount includes up to € 10,500 for refund or direct payment of medical expenses and/or the costs incurred to buy medicines.

The price of the policy that you can purchase in lieu of the basic High Protection Insurance package varies as a function of the price of the journey per person, as follows:

more than € 4,800 - € 214 + 6.3 % on excess
