Climate
Thailand is a country with a humid tropical climate. There are three seasons in the north of the country: from November to February the climate is mostly dry and cool; from March to May the temperatures rise; from May to November is monsoon season.
The south of the country has two seasons: dry and humid. On the country's east coast, where the island of Koh Phangan can be found, the rain is concentrated in the period from September to December; on the country's east coast, the rainy season is from April to October. The average annual temperature is 27°C.
Documents
In order to enter Thailand, Italian citizens need a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entering the country. Visas are not required for stays of fewer than thirty days.
Money
The local currency is the Baht. 1 Euro is equivalent to approximately 48 Baht, subject to frequent fluctuations.
Time Zone
During solar time in Italy the difference is +6 hours, and during summer time in Italy the difference is +5 hours.
Vaccinations and Health Precautions
No vaccinations or preventive treatments are required. The country's healthcare is generally good, with some excellent private facilities. In addition to personal medicines, we recommend taking insect repellents and sun cream.
