Located in the Ari atoll, this perfect island is round in shape and covered with luxuriant plant life. Its breathtaking lagoon is rimmed by an uninterrupted fine sandy beach. Almost hidden within the Dhigurah channel, one of the country’s most famous landscapes, the island of Vakarufalhi has always been much appreciated by an Italian clientele and is a well known name to those who have holidayed in the Maldives or have developed an interest in this destination. In addition to the natural beauty of its beach and sea, the island offers a wonderful coral reef packed with marine life. It is the ideal place for spending a relaxing holiday in contact with nature.

The coral reef is situated at different distances from the shore on either side of the island, allowing for swimming and sport in a wonderful lagoon on one side, where the shore slopes gently away beneath the crystalline sea, while on the other the reef is within easy swimming distance.

The island’s informal atmosphere is ideal for those who want to allow themselves a well-deserved break in a pleasant international context. Completely renovated and inaugurated in December 2009, TClub Vakarufalhi Island is comprised of bungalows arranged around the edge of the island on the white sandy beach and amidst the luxuriant plant life that characterises the place, and also of large, spacious overwater accommodation. The resort has a boutique, a highly professional diving centre run by “Pro Divers” and a spa in a lovely “overwater” structure, directly above the beautiful Vakarufalhi lagoon. There is also a medical service available on the island, run by a professional international staff. TClub offers a daily programme of excursions and activities, which can be selected by guests on the basis of their specific interests. Free sports include snorkelling, ping pong, darts, volleyball and board games. Post, fax and Internet services are available at reception. Windsurfing, canoeing, catamaran and diving at the diving centre with Italian-speaking staff are all available subject to payment.

TClub Lounge

A private waiting lounge is available to TClub passengers heading to Vakarufalhi upon arrival at the Male Seaplane Base via charter flights from Italy. All passengers will be given a small bottle of water and a refreshing wet wipe free of charge on arrival. There is also a bar serving coffee and soft drinks. We recommend taking some change in the local currency or American dollars.
