Restaurant

The typical restaurant, looking directly onto the beach from its elevated position, serves breakfast and lunch buffets, while dinner is taken “à la carte”.  Cuisine is mainly a menu of fish, fruit and vegetables. Rice accompanies numerous dishes whose main ingredient is zebu, duck, pork, chicken and, not surprisingly, fish. Dinner is served at the table and guests may choose between 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts. All the produce comes from what is called the “Grande Terre”, a term used by islanders to refer to the Malagasy coast. Malagasy cuisine, which sometimes draws from French recipes, is very tasty: spices such as ginger, green, pink or black pepper, saffron and coriander are commonly used to flavour dishes that are often cooked in coconut milk.
