Documents A valid passport is required with an expiry date of no less than 6 months from the date of arrival in Indonesia. The tourist visa is valid for a stay of no longer than 30 days in the country, with no extension allowed, and no possible conversion to other types of visa. It is obtainable on arrival in the country and against payment of 10 USD for those who can prove they intend to stay for an overall period of seven days, or 25 USD for a period not exceeding 30 days. We recommend you count your days’ stay in Indonesia from the arrival day to the departure day, considering all of the destinations you are likely to visit: Bali, Lombok, Gili, Gangga, Sulawesi, Giava and Sumatra. We also advise you to carefully re-check that the receipt attached to your passport by the immigration authorities on arrival is correct and corresponds to the two visa possibilities described above. We also advise you to have the exact amount ready in US dollars to speed up the procedure.
Currency The local currency is the Indonesian Rupiah, but we advise you to take Euros. On arrival, however, US dollars will be needed to pay the entry tax (only serial numbers starting from 1997 will be accepted).
Time zone When solar time is running in Italy, the difference is +7 hours, with summer time +6 hours.
