It is important to know that Baja California is a marvellous place but it is not "California US". The conditions of the infrastructures in Baja California do not always correspond to the standards we are used to. Means of transport are unlikely to be the last word in modern technology. Almost all roads are unsurfaced and may become impassable after a particularly violent spate of rainfall, causing delays in travel. But rest assured, the landscape will completely make up for any minor inconvenience! Health treatment in Mexico is very expensive. In addition to the insurance policy drawn up at the time of booking, we suggest you extend your coverage by underwriting a supplementary policy. Hotel categories do not always meet our expectations; this characteristic type of facility may present some problems in terms of service and infrastructures. Triple rooms, intended as rooms with three separate beds, do not exist in Baja California: accommodation is provided in the existing beds (two queen size beds or one king size bed). We remind you that, in Baja California, due to the fact that its vast territory is subdivided between desert, mountain and sea coast, weather conditions are fairly variable. These range from a Mediterranean climate in the north to a dry arid climate in the south. Water supplies and the production of electricity are not always simple matters. In order to have a sufficient store of running water, hotels are often compelled to have desalination systems, to transport enormous water cisterns for long distances, or to use generators to produce electricity.  In all posadas the reception service ends at 23.00 to be resumed the following morning.

Climate Weather conditions range from a Mediterranean climate in the north, to a dry tropical climate in the south. Nevertheless, winter is perceptible with a considerable temperature range between night and day. The recommended bathing season normally runs from May to October, owing to the warm water temperature in these months. In the months of July, August and September, temperatures may even reach 45°C.
